Helical fittings

Helical fittings are designed for installation, repair and protection of steel aluminum wires and wires made of aluminum alloys, lightning protection cables and fiber-optic cables in the construction and operation of overhead power lines.

The main distinctive design feature of Helical fittings is the spiral wires included in its composition, which are mounted directly on the wire or cable, completely covering its surface. Spiral wires form a kind of protective layer on the outside of the wire, protecting it from the effects of negative external factors. In the places where spiral reinforcement is installed, stress concentrations caused by vibrations or mounting forces decrease, the bending stiffness of the wire increases, fatigue strength increases and, as a result, its wear decreases.
