Bus supports 500 kW

Busbar supports of the ШО type for a voltage of 500 kV are intended for insulation and fastening of wires, rigid busbars, high-frequency barriers and fixed contacts of suspended disconnectors and grounding switches in open switchgears of power stations and alternating current substations with a frequency of 50 (60) Hz.

Busbar supports for voltage 500 kV structurally consist of 3 main elements:

  • insulator columns performing insulating and lightning protection functions;
  • a busbar holder installed on top of the insulator and intended for fastening flexible and rigid busbars;
  • a protective screen that protects against corona and improves voltage distribution along the height of the insulating column.

Also, at the customer’s request, busbar supports can be equipped with a frame and a metal support post (prefabricated or pipe), on which the entire structure of the busbar support is fixed.

It is possible to manufacture 500 kV busbar supports in 4 main designs:

ШО-500 (II*)-2 УХЛ1: busbar support for voltage 500 kV with porcelain insulator with category II* (creepage distance 105 cm), design “2” (for fastening two wires), in climate version УХЛ1;

ШO-500 (II*)-3 УХЛ1: the same as in ШO-500 (II*)-3 УХЛ1, but in design “3” (for fastening three wires);

ШO-500 (II*)-T УХЛ1: the same as in ШO-500 (II*)-3 УХЛ1, but in the “T” design (for fastening a rigid busbar);

ШO-500 (II*)-V: the same as in ШO-500 (II*)-2 УХЛ1, but in design “B” (for installing a high-frequency suppressor or pendant disconnector).

In all versions, creepage distance categories and wire (pipe) diameter must be specified when ordering.
